One of the things we've discovered from living in Cyprus is that some of the best experiences happen when you leave the obvious places behind.
They're found in mountain villages where life moves a little slower, around a table filled with traditional food, talking to someone who's been making the same product for decades or wandering through ancient ruins and imagining the people who stood there thousands of years before you.
